Kelly Wiens
Senior Evaluation Specialist
A perfect day for Kelly includes learning something new. Luckily for her, evaluation of programs and initiatives always involves learning. Kelly started her career as a Registered Nurse in Intensive Care, Home Care, and Public Health. Over the past decades she worked at local, provincial and federal levels in a variety of evaluation, research, and policy environments.
Having participated in quantitative and qualitative projects over the years, Kelly brings deep experience in applying rigour and process when developing evaluation frameworks. The goal is to elicit credible results to better understand what success looks like. To do this well, she draws on diverse left and right brain experiences as a health professional, evaluator, and working artist.
Kelly has lived in the east (Nova Scotia), the west (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba), the north (Yukon), and central Canada (Quebec, Ontario), often more than once. Residing in so many environments has allowed her to experience the many perspectives and approaches that people bring to living as Canadians. She is a watercolour painter and pyrographer.
