Roxanne Vallevand
First Nations Senior Engagement Lead

Roxanne Vallevand is a lifelong Yukoner of Métis ancestry who brings nearly 30 years of leadership, communications, and political advisory experience across public service and Indigenous governance. Known for her pragmatic and relationship-focused approach, she is committed to fostering culturally grounded, community-driven change.
 
Most recently, Roxanne served as Executive Director of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation, where she provided strategic oversight and policy leadership to support the Nation’s goals. Her accomplishments include establishing governance structures, developing key legislation, and leading the creation of the Chu Níikwän Development Corporation. She has also held senior roles in the Yukon Premier’s Office, contributing to intergovernmental relations and First Nations policy development.
 
Roxanne currently serves on several senior governance and advisory committees, including the Yukon University Foundation Board. With a reputation for diplomacy, collaboration, and cross-cultural understanding, she continues to champion inclusive leadership in the North. She is the proud mother of two children who are citizens of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation.
